.True Grace.
These verses have been speaking to me lately. I think it's amazing to have such an example as Christ Jesus to base my life, faith and hope, and love in. It's kind of ironic the way we all live our lives out of such relience on ourselves when we know we should choose Him. And yet, we still do, we choose us!! We choose ourselves, for that small satisfaction and glory that we get, then we come stumbling back to Him, to the Cross, and we deserve rejection, but all we get is love. Eternal and everlasting love. True Grace! This is truly worth living for. His love blows me away.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:3-11
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--think about such things.
Philippians 4:8
